What I'm Fighting For
I'm not a career politician. I'm not backed by corporate PACs. I'm a first-generation college graduate who grew up in South Cheektowaga, worked multiple jobs since I was a teenager, and never forgot what it feels like when the system isn't built for people like you.
Right now, working families in the 143rd are being crushed—by utility bills that keep climbing, childcare that costs more than rent, and an economy that rewards the wealthy while the rest of us fall further behind. I'm running for Assembly because we deserve a representative who knows these struggles aren't abstract. They're the difference between making it and not making it. And I'm ready to fight like our future depends on it—because it does.

MY PLATFORM
Child Care
Every family in Cheektowaga, Lancaster, and Buffalo deserves access to affordable, quality child care. I will fight to expand childcare subsidies and tax credits so working parents can pursue their careers without impossible choices, and support early childhood educators with living wages so our youngest learners get the foundation they deserve.
Healthcare
Healthcare is a human right, not a privilege for the wealthy. I support single-payer healthcare for all New Yorkers and will work to lower prescription drug costs so no family in the district has to choose between medicine and groceries. I support passage of the New York Health Act.
Public Education
From West Seneca East High School to Fredonia to UB, public schools gave me my shot at opportunity. I will fight for full Foundation Aid for schools across the district, reject any voucher schemes that drain public dollars, and ensure every child gets small class sizes, mental health support, and teachers paid what they're worth.
Utility Costs
Families are drowning in utility bills while corporations profit. I champion public power to lower energy costs, keep dollars in our community, and transition to clean, affordable energy that working families can actually afford.
Labor
I know firsthand unions built the middle class because they built my family's path forward. I stand committed to fair wages, prevailing wage protections, the right to organize and collectively bargain, and economic security for working families because when labor wins, we all win.
Immigrant Justice & Welcoming Communities
Our neighborhoods in Cheektowaga, Lancaster, and Buffalo thrive because of diversity. From refugees from Burma, Somalia, and Congo to immigrants from Bangladesh and beyond, newcomers build businesses, buy homes, and strengthen our communities. I stand against ICE raids that terrorize families and will champion policies that welcome newcomers, because we've always been a community where hard work earns you a place at the table.
Housing & Affordability
Every family in Cheektowaga, Lancaster, and Buffalo deserves a safe, affordable place to call home. I will fight predatory landlords, invest in housing rehab for aging neighborhoods, and ensure our property taxes fund community investment—not developer giveaways—so working families can stay in the communities they built.
Equity, Democracy, and Caring for Our Neighbors
We protect our neighbors by protecting their rights. I will defend voting access, fight discrimination in housing and employment, welcome refugees and immigrants who strengthen our communities, and ensure government serves everyone in Cheektowaga, Lancaster, and Buffalo—not just the wealthy and well-connected.
AI, Technology Accountability & Digital Rights
Big Tech is moving fast and writing its own rules, and working families are paying the price. I will fight to hold AI companies and government agencies accountable to the communities they impact.
That means passing a moratorium on new data center construction in Western New York to protect our air, water, and quality of life while regulation and energy efficiency catch up to this rapidly advancing technology. It means leading New York in setting real limits on how AI can be used in employment, housing, criminal justice, and daily life so that powerful technology doesn't become another tool to squeeze workers or deepen inequality.
It also means protecting your privacy. I will fight to establish clear limits on government and corporate data collection, retention, and sharing, with special attention to communities that have historically been over-surveilled. I support Community Control Over Police Surveillance (CCOPS) legislation so that residents in Cheektowaga, Lancaster, and Buffalo have a real say in the surveillance tools used in their neighborhoods. Your data should work for you, not for corporations or government agencies that have never been held accountable for how they use it.
